If engineering degrees were exclusively graduate degrees, like JDs and MBAs would there be more engineers?
But if you’ve graduated without an engineering degree you’re too old to go back or you can’t go back.
I’m interested because I know so many people who graduated with useless degrees and went for MBAs or JDs because they had to. None of these people even thought about an engineering degree.

No
Making an engineering degree harder to obtain (adding 4 years of undergrad before actually attempting engineering degree) would not increase number of engineers. It doesn’t make sense.
What’s the difference between under-graduate and graduate degrees in college?
An undergraduate degree is an associate’s degree (2-year* degree), or a bachelor’s degree (4-year*).
A graduate degree would be a master’s degree (6 year*) or a doctoral degree (8 year*). These are including the undergraduate years, so you typically need undergraduate plus two years for master’s and undergraduate plus 4 years for doctorate.
*Years can vary. You’ll see a lot of ‘lazy’ people complete a bachelor’s in 5 years, and someone who is working and going to school might take longer to get a graduate degree.

I am going to college next year and want to know if I’ll be able to get a masters degree in nursing (FIU)?
I also want to know how long it will take to get my masters degree.
You will be able to if you are smart enough and work hard. it takes 6 years to get your Masters. You need to get your 4 year BSN and then apply to a Masters program.
How long after completeing 2 year college( IGETC) should it take to get a PHD? or Masters degree?
IGETC, like a transfer cariculum at a Junior / 2 year college, and then applying those credits towards a 4 year college?
For example, after completing about 60 unites at a junior college, how many more "units" or time might be needed in college for a masters, or bachelors educational degree?
*units* sorry
After a junior college, it takes two more years to get a bachelor’s degree.
Most master’s programs take one or two years after a bachelor’s degree.
A PhD takes from four to seven years after a bachelor’s degree.
PLEASE HELP!! =[ … should i go for the bachelors or masters degree in nursing?
..and if i get a masters? whats diffrent?..do they pay me more?..and how much a hour?
WOW – bunches of questions . . .
Which ever degree you choose to ‘go for’ is dependent on your ultimate service goals, and your financial abilities. The higher the degree, the higher the expense to acquire it, the longer you are in school, the more dollars you earn (and owe) at the completion of your efforts. . .
You can earn more with a master’s degree than bachelor’s.
Pay scales vary everywhere – usually beginning around $25 hr.
what is the difference between a bachelors degree, masters, phd, md, etc? how long does it take to earn each?
Bachelor’s Degree – four years (full time) post high school. You will generally earn a BS (Bachelor of Science) or BA (Bachelors of Arts)
Masters Degree – 2 years (full time) generally about 60 credits. You need a bachelor’s degree to get a masters degree.
Phd. – Doctorate – 4-7 years, including doctoral dissertation. You can do a Phd. right from 4 year college without getting a masters first, but most people get the masters first.
MD – Medical Doctor – Med school and internship, done after BS or BA degree – can take 8 years.
Good luck!

Psychology or Criminal Justice major?
Here’s a bit of background about my interests.
Okay I’m nearly finished my Associates degree in Criminal Justice, after which I plan to pursue my Bachelors in Psychology.
My initial goal is to attend law school. I inevitably want to end up either working as an attorney for a firm that specializes in criminal law, or perhaps throwing my hat into something extreme like working for the FBI. I’m pursuing a dual degree program where I obtain my law degree (the juris doctor) simultaneously with my Masters degree in Criminal Justice. It’ll save me about a year of schooling and a LOT of money doing it that way.
While pursuing my Juris Doctor I’d like to work with delinquent youth, maybe as a counselor or something.
Would I have a better chance of this with my Bachelors being in Psychology or Criminal Justice? I’ll have an Associates in Criminal Justice already so I thought switching it up to Psychology would hedge my bets.
Thoughts?
To be honest it won’t make much of a difference as far as getting a job working with delinquent youth or getting into law school. Both will work. Working with youth with a bachelors will be low pay and high stress so it is good you have a plan from there. The question you should ask yourself as far as which degree you want to pursue the next few years is whether you prefer the sociology classes better or the psych classes because that is only major difference. You can still take a lot of criminal justice if you major in psych. I did and I enjoyed the psych classes more so I went that route. Or you can do the opposite. Just look at the law schools you hope to get into and make sure you get all the prerequisites.
How can I get a scholarship to Masters or PhD degree in Canada?
I’m brazilian and have just got my Bachelor degree in Information Technology Systems.
There is nothing in Canada for foreigners. Be more ambitious and aim for America. Canadians do not recognize foreign credentials. I knew this lady whose husband was doing his gradauate work back in China or Hong Kong, he emigrated to Canada with his family, Canadians pushed him back to being a second-year undergraduate. So please, for your sake, and your children sake avoid Canada at all costs. The Canadian government is getting sued for lying to immigrants. Trust me, if you graduate from a Canadian university you won’t find a job because you lack "Canadian work experience". There’s this story of this guy who wanted to find a job at a fast-food restaurant and they asked him,"Do you have a university degree." Trust me, there is more opportunity in America and your degree will have more meaning internationally. Besides, Canada is one of the countries on the world where PH.Ds drive cabs. AIM FOR AMERICA.Don’t heed my advice at your risk.
I know.I have experienced both.
By the way, OSAP only applies to Canadian citizens or permanent residents.
